Fauré, Nocturne no. 6 in D-fl at major, op. 63 (approx. 9 min.)
Fauré, Piano Quintet no. 1 in D minor, op. 89 (approx. 30 min.)

Pianist Jean-Philippe Collard, a specialist of French music, beckons you to the sophisticated world of Gabriel Fauré. In this concert, you will hear one of the composer’s masterpieces for piano, as well as the melancholy Piano Quintet No. 1, written at a time when Fauré experienced the first symptoms of deafness.
A musical moment of great refinement.

This concert is being recorded by Radio-Canada’s music radio network ICI Musique (100.7 FM in Montreal) and will be nationally broadcast live.
